The decor brings a comfortable, homey vibe, with touches that make you feel like you’re dining at a friend's house.

One of the standout features of this diner is its menu, which is packed with all the Mexican classics you’d expect-and then some. From tacos to enchiladas, the dishes are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients that keep patrons coming back for more. If you’re new to the spot, a good place to start is with the tacos al pastor, a house favorite. The juicy marinated pork, served with cilantro, onions, and a bit of lime, hits all the right notes. Pair that with a refreshing horchata, and you’ve got yourself a meal worth remembering.

But what truly sets El Rinconcito Monarcas apart is their commitment to authenticity. The chefs here take pride in using traditional recipes passed down through generations, ensuring each dish packs a real punch of flavor. The salsas, in particular, are made from scratch and offer the perfect balance of heat and tanginess, elevating every bite.

A few other items to consider are their burritos, which are generously filled with everything from tender carne asada to slow-cooked carnitas. The portions are huge, so come hungry or be prepared to take some leftovers home! For those who prefer something lighter, their fresh salads and ceviche offer a zesty contrast to the richer options on the menu.

On weekends, the diner can get a bit busier, especially during brunch hours, but that’s a testament to its popularity. People come from all over to savor the incredible food, so be prepared for a wait-but don’t worry, it’s well worth it. One of the BEST Mexican food spots around here. Very affordable food; 2 burrito combos, a torta, and the taco combo and they all come with chips and a salsa cost $32. You can’t beat that price. Food is honestly really really good and great portions too! This is our go to spot, and of course they’re always friendly too so that’s a plus! ↔↔

El Rinconcito Monarcas is literally a hole in the wall that churns out some tasty food. The parking lot is small and shared with a few other businesses. There aren't a lot of spots, so one might need to hunt for street parking during peak hours. The do have a patio for outdoor seating, not optimal when presented with challenging weather circumstances. My order came out in a timely manner, probably about a 7 minute wait, while they weren't busy, I think they were filling delivery orders as well. #Mexican: ~ BURRITO HORNEADO w/ Carne Asada - 4.5/5 Just a solid wet Carne Asada burrito. Tasty and flavorful without being overly spicy. Good size portions and friendly to your wallet as well and it came with chips and salsa! I'll be back if I'm in the area...

Great little neighborhood spot for quick, delicious, and affordable meals. Outdoor patio is cute and seats ~8-10 ppl total. Cash only, but my whole meal was only $10 and I couldn’t even finish the burrito! Highly recommend
